Pink Tale #78, The Pink Convert

At Bendigo FM

A smiling young lady was patiently waiting her turn while a family was tasting the array of PM. When the family had left, she came forward.

Me: Hello! Come for a taste?

YL: Oh no need, I’m already a convert. (we share lolz)

Me: Fantastic thank you so much! What will it be today?

YL: One of each times two.

Me: So ten bags?

YL: Yes, please. (I started putting her order together) Are you giving it as a present?

YL: Oh no, they’re all for me! I love’m, they’re all so yummy! (we laugh again)

Me: Here you go, present for you, well deserved! (I smile big)

YL: Thanks, see you next time!

Pm Family
Pink Tale #77, Chocolate rules!

Young Mum and her youngsters zoom into the cacao puffs from the array of PM choices.

Me: This is my answer to Cocoa Puffs which is loaded with sugar. This is Dark Cacao Puffs, no sugar and made with pure raw chocolate.

Chorus: Ummm yummy!

Mum: Did you like that? It’s got strawberry bits too, ummmm!

Children nod excitedly.

Me: Would you like to try the rest?

Mum: No need, we’ll take that one. Umm cocoa puffs, we love cocoa puffs don’t we? This kind.

Children dance around happily.

They know what they want! Hooray! They’re in the pink?

Amelia Choosing PM
Amelia Pink Muesli
Pink Tale #76, Little bub & the beet

At Riddells Creek FM

Little Amelia is only 21 months old but knows a good thing when she sees it. She waddled straight for the smiling beetroot beckoning her to have a taste. It was after all, the same height as her. She even got on her tippy toes to have a closer look at the jars of brightly coloured Pink Muesli, gave it a once over and pointed to one of them.

Me: Why hello there! You want to have a taste? Which one?

Amelia pointed to Cinnamon Carrot Apple & Raisin.

Mum: Can she have a taste?

Me: But of course! Here you go. Hold out your hand sweetheart.

Amelia opens her mouth to receive the spoon so Mum offered her hand instead. Amelia picks from Mum’s hand and she quickly gobbles it up. She makes happy little noises and does a little jig. Then she excitedly points to the next one, Coconut Caramel Crunch with Almonds, so I give her some of that. When she saw it in Mum’s hand, she looks up with the cutest thrilled look before quickly gobbling it up.

Me: Did you like that Amelia? (Amelia laughs happily and does a little jig again.)

Mum: We’ll take the cinnamon please.

Me: Here you go sweetheart. (Handing it to Amelia, who holds it tightly to her chest like a prized possession. She waves goodbye as they walk off into the sun.)

Another healthy foodie-in-the-making, gotta luv it ?

Little bub’s in the pink?

Meghan Pink Muesli
Pink Tale #75, Determined tech angel

At Bendigo FM

Meghan and her Mum stopped by the stall, tasted everything and decided to purchase a few bags. My eftpos machine was not responding so I turned it off and on a couple of times. They decided to let my machine come back to life while they keep shopping and come back later. A while later, Meghan was back but my machine still wasn’t working and I was getting agitated.

Meghan: Try this, go to your settings and turn your mobile data off then on again. (I obeyed, and voila! It’s working again yay!)

Me: Meghan you’re an angel thanks! I even returned the first one to the shop for this very reason and they didn’t teach me this trick!

So now, my card reader was working!

Me: Ok, just tap the card. (She tapped but it asked her to swipe/insert chip and pin so she did. However, used to just tapping, Meghan could not remember her pin. You’d think after a second attempt I’d have lost a customer but no Meghan was undaunted, yes!)

Meghan: The car’s just there, I’ll go get my other card. Hold on to that bag (referring to her large purchase) and I will be back. (I set her bag aside and hoped for the best.)

Take 3.

Meghan: This should work now (we share lolz)

It worked, hooray! After all this, I had to make a pink tale! Thanks Meghan, you are my tech angel in the pink?

Pink Tale #74, Genuine Pink Fan

At Bendigo FM

This is a continuing love story between a lovely young bride Mimi Lou and Pink Muesli. We met her groom several tales back (Pink Tale #51) and Mimi has since become a regular customer sometimes ordering large quantities online. I took July off from the markets to take care of annoying admin stuff and she messaged me then in a bit of a panic saying how shattered she was that PM was not in the market that day, hoping I was alright (sweet!). I assured her that everything was fine and promised to be in the August market.

Me: Mimi! How good to see you! Oh I love your bow!

Mimi: I put a pink bow on Maggie too in your honour.

Me: I love it!

Mimi: And this is Gabby, my friend.

Me: Hi Gabby!

Mimi: I am so in love with your products!

Me: That is so good to hear! (I smile big)

Mimi: I’ve been rationing my stock waiting for today (we share lolz). Now I can get back to having it everyday.

Me: That’s great! You got a headstart on the Dark Cacao (referring to the advance sample I sent her with her online order)

Mimi: Yes so I must get that one and my favourite Coconut, and a small one of the Ginger please.

Me: Fantastic, here you go Mimi (I add a magnetic clip and a pen, both with PM logo of course). Thank you so much!

They indulge me with a nice photo. I love return customers specially genuine pink fans like Mimi?

Pink Muesli Susie

Pink Tale #73, Back for more!

At Eynesbury FM

Meet Suzy. She was so blown away by the concept of beetroot in muesli that she just had to taste them all. She was even  more blown away by the flavours that she could not decide which ones to buy. After much debating with herself and her Mum, she settled for 3 out of 5 and could be heard saying to her Mum as they walked off that she would definitely be back for the rest next month.

A few minutes passed aaaand she’s back!

Me: Hey, you’re back! (smiling big)

Suzy: Yes, I want the other two as well. I am not waiting another month. (smiling even bigger)

Me: Fantastic! You won’t regret it! (I handed her the other two flavours)

Suzy: I love it and and will tell everyone about it! Beetroot, wow!

Me: Good on you Suzy! Thank you so much!

Suzy’s sooo in the pink?

Clunes Maria
Pink Tale #72, Pinkest Customer

Phones rings, lady asks where else she can get Pink Muesli as the Daylesford Information Centre ran out of her favorite.

Me: Oh, I better restock them! Thanks for letting me know Maria.

Maria: But I’ll need it before I go on holiday because I’m taking it with me.

Me: Fantastic, excellent idea! Well, you can always order online but I’ll be at the Clunes market this weekend if that suits?

Maria: Yes, it’s a long weekend too, maybe I can convince my husband to go for a nice drive there. But can I reserve a large bag of the Coconut Caramel Crunch & Almonds please?

Me: Sure thing! I make one kilo bags if you’re interested? They’re made to order and cost $65.

Maria: Yes, I’d like that please.

Me: Great, I’ll prepare it and see you on Sunday in Clunes!

Later in Clunes.

Maria: Hi, I came for my order, I’m Maria.

Me: Hi Maria, pleasure to meet you. Here it is. I put some little gifts in there too. (I hand her a large pink bag)

Maria: Why thank you! I’ll buy some more for our friends too. They’ll love this. (she ends up with nearly $200 worth of PM!)

Me: You’re my best customer so far Maria! (we share happy lolz) As a token of my appreciation, pick any small bag, free.

Maria: Thank you so much, very kind of you.

Me: Thank YOU so much for your business! Enjoy your holiday! (She walks off with two pink bags full.)

Pink Tale #71, Gobsmacked!

At Clunes FM

Young Mum with teen daughter approach the stall.

YM: Omg, beetroot muesli!

TD: That’s pretty cool!

Me: Yes! And it’s the only vegetable muesli in the country! Come and have a taste!

YM: What’s in it?

Me: I have gluten-free options (I point to the ingredient lists) as well as whole grain options. No sugar added, no preservatives here you go (I hand them samples of PM Berries).

TD: Umm that’s so good!

Me: Thank you and that’s the grain-free option as well.

YM: That is amazing, I didn’t expect that.

Me: Thank you it’s all natural. Would you like to taste the other gluten-free variety?

TD: Oh it’s got grains.

YM: But you eat rice, so it’s ok. (they both accept the samples of PM Coconut)

TD: Yum!

Me: With milk or yogurt as a regular muesli, is great. But it’s not just a muesli, it’s also a garnish for salads or desserts. This here is my favorite snack, apple slices with a bit of peanut butter then topped with PM.

YM: Yes! I was thinking of goats cheese.

Me: Yup, like this (I point to the roasted figs with goat’s cheese in my background streamer).

YM: And on top of pannacotta perhaps?

TD: Oh yeah!

Me: Absolutely! (I point to the pannacotta with pomegranate in my poster. They were gobsmacked.)

YM: Wow, you are either a chef or very clever!

Me: I’m both! (we share lolz)

TD: Let’s get them both. (she walks off to explore the other stalls)

YM: I am so happy we made the trip today. We’re from Melbourne and wanted to see what there was on offer in the country markets. My daughter’s not well and we watch what she eats. Ever since we’ve taken her off gluten, dairy and sugar she’s been getting better that is why I was thrilled to discover you here! You tick all the boxes plus you’re so original! Well done! I’ll take a large bag of the Berries and the Coconut please.

Me: Thank you! I’m happy your daughter can eat my products! All the best on her recovery.

YM: Thanks. You sell online do you?

Me: Yes, I do. Just visit my website and follow the links.

YM: I hope you do very well. we’ll enjoy this!

PMBerries On Baked Apple Yogurt
Pink Tale #70, Better than coffee!

At Bendigo FM

Four ladies in active wear were strolling briskly down the footpath where I was situated. They obviously could see the bright pink signs from afar and visibly slowed down as they got closer. I could see them quietly mouthing the signs of my stall and beckoned them to have a taste. Three of them started to walk away, the fourth lady came closer saying “I’ll have a go!”

Me: Excellent! Thank you for being willing to give it a go! (I hand her a sample. The other three ladies decide to join her and I give them samples as well.)

Lady1: So the beetroot makes it pink does it?

Me: Yes, they all have over 40% raw beetroot mixed with all the ingredients then dehydrated for 8-12 hours depending on how juicy the beetroot is.

Lady2: They are all so good but I liked the ginger one the best.

Lady3: I liked the first one (Berries) but I didn’t bring any money, we’re just on a walk.

Lady4: Yes, I’ll have to go home and get some money.

Lady1: I have $20 if you all want to get a bag, I can pay. I’ll get the coconut please. (they all get a bag each)

Me: Thank you ladies for stopping!

Lady3: That means we don’t get coffee.

Lady2: This is better than coffee thanks! (We share lolz. They all walk away happily clutching a bag of PM in their hands)

Yes, It’s a hundred times better than coffee and will definitely last you longer! Gals are in the pink ?

PM Citrus Ginger Kohlrabi Salad
Pink Tale #69, Sydneysiders get in the Pink!

At Home Store

Lovely couple holidaying in Daylesford from Sydney drives in seeking some PM.

Steve: Is this where we can get some Pink Muesli?

Me: It sure is, come on in!

Carol: You have varieties here do you?

Me: Yes, I have 4 available at the moment.

Carol: Oh good, they only had one at the Information Centre. We went to your website and saw you had a few and asked them where we could get them. They directed us here. We’ve never seen it in Sydney.

Me: Not yet, I’ve only been in business a year and I can only do so much. But I will work on it for sure. Would you like to sample them?

Steve: Yes, please. (I handed them samples)

Me: It’s not just a muesli, you can have it as a garnish for your salads or desserts.

Carol: Oh I really like this (PM Berries) and I like the idea of putting it in salads. Which one would go well with salads?

Me: All of them would, but my personal favorite on salads is this (Citrus & Ginger)

Carol: Yes, that would be delightful! Ok then, we’ll take them both. They’ll allow this on the plane won’t they?

Me: Yes, no worries! It’s the fresh fruit and vegetables they don’t allow. Dry pantry goods are no problem crossing state lines.

Steve: Do you deliver door-to-door?

Me: Indeed I do! Just order online and it will get delivered to your door. Anywhere in Australia!

Steve: That’s great! We’ll do that after we go through this lot.

Me: Thank you so much! Have a safe trip back!

Warms my heart on a cold winter day 🙂
