At Clunes FM

Father and young teen son walked tentatively into the market. I could tell they were very curious and intrigued by the Pink. I beckoned them to come close and have a taste. Still unsure, they walk very slowly towards PM, reading the signs as they come closer. Just then, a regular customer comes rushing to the stall, buys his favorite and rushes out nearly bumping into them.
Me: Here have a taste (I hand them their sampling spoons).
Dad: Is it gluten- free?
Me: Yes, this one is (Berries), this (Coconut Caramel Crunch with Almonds) and this (Christmas Special). Not this (Citrus & Ginger).
Dad nods, turns to son and they have a private conversation. They sample the GF PMs. In the meantime, three young women in active wear came to the stall, ummmmed and yummmed over the samples, each bought a bag and moved on the the next stall to continue their shopping. All this time, father and son were quietly waiting to the side, intently listening to my beetroot story. They also studied all the ingredient lists.
Me: So what do you think? Have you made a decision?
Dad: (to son) Which one did you like best?
Son: I like the crunchy one best.
Me: Excellent choice! (I proceeded to had them a small bag)
Dad: No, we’ll take a large bag please.
Me: Even better! Here you go. Enjoy!
Father and son walk off with their purchase, looking very pleased indeed. Me too.?
